IL GELATAIO BY DE’LONGHI + ICED COFFEE RECIPE WITH HOMEMADE VANILLA ICE CREAM

And it gets even better with a healthy Affogato al caffè with homemade vanilla ice cream!

I again teamed up with De’Longhi to show you how to easily make an healthy vanilla ice cream with their IL GELATAIO ICE CREAM MACHINE.

After buying a no name ice cream maker last year (with that frozen bowl thingy) and never being satisfied with the outcome, as my ice cream always turned out more like a milk shake than ice cream, I decided to get my hands on a real gelato maker.

No more waiting for delicious authentic gelato with the self-refrigerating compressor of the Gelato maker ICK6000. It immediately brings ingredients to temperatures below freezing, which frozen bowl ice cream makers cannot do. It also allows you to make multiple batches continuously instead of having to re-freeze an ice cream bowl. This machine produces the perfect consistency by effectively mixing ingredients from top to bottom with the patented mixing paddle. A recipe booklet with 50 different gelato and sorbetto recipes is included, you can easily replace the cream in the recipes with milk or yoghurt & the sugar with stevia or any other sweetener to get healthy ice cream.

So here is my recipe for healthy Affogato al caffè with homemade vanilla ice cream.

VANILLA ICE CREAM

Ingredients:

400 ml milk (low fat)

50 ml low fat cream

1 sachet Vanillin

1 Vanilla Bean

A few drops of stevia or any other calorie free sweetener

Heat the milk & low fat cream in a pan, remove from the heat and add the vanilla bean, vanilin & stevia. Leave to coll. pour into the Il Gelataio cylinder. The ice cream will be ready in about 35 minutes.

Affogato al caffè (Iced coffee with vanilla ice cream)

Ingredients:

250ml low fat milk

A little bit of vanilla bean

a few drops stevia & vanilla flavour

2 scoops of the homemade vanilla ice cream

1 cooled Nespresso VANILLIO Espresso

a few ice cubes

Mix the milk with the vanilla bean, add the vanilla flavor & stevia & ice cubes. Add the ice cream & poor the espresso over.

Enjoy ice cold!

    Das sieht so unglaublich lecker aus, dass ich mir auch eine Eismaschine zulegen muss! Mich hat das Saubermachen immer etwas abgeschreckt, aber wenn das wirklich so easy geht wie erwähnt… :)
